Hello Classmates,

Since our last communications, your Shortridge Class of 1956 Reunion Committee has been working to finalize plans for our 55^th Class Reunion. Before going into details on where we stand and what we have arranged, we would like to extend our personal thanks to all of you that responded to our email messages and mailings. It really helps to have your inputs when planning an event such as this. We would like to especially thank those classmates that pledged a financial contribution, as our available funds are very low and your contributions will help a great deal.

After several meetings over the past few months, it has been determined that our SHS 55th Class Reunion will be held on Friday evening  June 17, 2011, and Saturday evening June 18, 2011. We have made reservations for activities on Friday at The White River Yacht Club located at 1400 E.74^th Street, Indianapolis, IN. Activities this night will be informal/casual and will consist of an Indiana style catered cook-out, and quality time to visit with all of your classmates in a relaxed casual atmosphere. We will try to minimize any formal program this night, and will probably have some appropriate music playing softly in the background.

On Saturday night we will be at the Fishers Conference Center, located at 9775 North by Northeast Boulevard, Fishers,IN. This is a very nice facility located off 96^th Street just east Interstate 69. Their website address is www.fishersconferencecenter.com  An abundant number of hotel accommodations are with-in walking distance of the conference center, and free on-site parking is available to make it easy for both local and out-of-town classmates. We have made arrangements for hotel accommodations at the Hilton Garden Inn, 317-577-5900, and they will be offering a special discounted rate to those classmates requiring accommodations.

Regarding our finances, we need to stress to everyone that pledged financial help to quickly get your contribution to our Treasurer, Loretta Glazier Rose. If you made a pledge we will be contacting you in February to determine the amount of your contribution, and to provide you with information on how to get your contribution into Loretta. Thanks to the generosity of Bob Stevenson, Loretta Rose, Don Hicks and Buddy Yosha we were able to come up with the necessary money to fund the initial reservation deposit to secure the facilities for the reunion.

We wish everyone a very happy and healthy 2010, and will look forward to talking to some of you soon, and to seeing everybody in June 2011 when we get together for the reunion.
